I have interviewed some fabulous people recently and even though I might appear cool, calm and collected, the reality is far from it. However, this morning I was not nervous more excited at the thought of meeting Irishman Rob Ryan for the second time. The first was at the print and design show, Pick Me Up in 2010 at Somerset House.

Tobias Till

A few months ago after spotting Tobias Till’s charming set of London A-Z lino prints in an exhibition next to the Royal Albert Hall, I immediately emailed asking if he would consider creating a cover for Diplomat.

I invited Tobias to the Diplomat of the Year Awards last month and we chatted about ideas for the June Aerospace cover. Brimming with ideas and excitement I had no doubt he would produce something wonderful. His London scene with the Red Arrows took roughly three weeks to make. It’s fun, elegant and bold.

When I get excited about an artist, I want EVERYONE to know.
