Watching my interview footage with Scottish sculptor David Mach is nearly as exciting as sitting opposite him. David has to be one of the most passionate, straight talking men I have ever met. This interview does however come with a warning to all those who wish to tread in my footsteps…. Never, ever, tell David what he should or shouldn’t do! He doesn’t like it!

David has worked incessantly since leaving college in 1979. Nominated for the Turner Prize, joining the Royal Academy of Arts as Professor of Sculpture and election to the board of the National Portrait Gallery are only a few of his endless accomplishments.

My first question to David is about working and running a successful business.
