PROFILE
Currently I work as a Creative Director for Diplomat magazine in London.
With a background in the luxury magazine industry, I have previously worked for Tatler and Harpers Baazar and in 2007 redesigned several magazines including Wealth Management Survey Magazine (WMS), and Aspinall’s Magazine.
On my arrival as Creative Director in 2009, I was asked to redefine and redesign the Diplomat brand. Each month I try to design a magazine that is a beautiful piece of publishing, worthy to be collected by anyone interested in international affairs, political commentary and art.
I am particularly proud of commissioning world-famous French artist Invader, who specialises in ‘invading’ different international cities by placing mosaics on buildings carefully chosen for maximum impact. Creating an original piece of graffiti for Diplomat’s 2010 Grenada issue was a coup for the magazine.
Other cover artists I feel honored to have been able to work with include the celebrated national institution, Quentin Blake who created the February 2011 cover for Diplomat’s Sport and Diplomacy issue and legendary Gerald Scarfe who created the December 2009 cover featuring Barack Obama in a Santa outfit.
I am an Industry Advisor to the Visual Communication Programme at the American InterContinental University (AIU) and also taught a series of workshops commissioned by the American School in London (ASL) titled ‘Indesign and the Publishing Industry’. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
